In my childhood, I watched Sir David Attenborough's nature documentaries. I was completely fascinated with the natural world and all the creatures within it.
The first camera I ever got my hands on turned into my way of capturing the natural world, and in a small way, I felt I was emulating Attenborough and his team, as they would open windows into unseen worlds.

A stunning female Asian elephant I met in Thailand. She was working a local farm. I was told that the pink almost freckle looking pattern is a sign of age. Just as we have white/gray hair, elephants lose pigmentation on and around their trunk.

A Eight-armed seastar native to Tasmania. I noticed a lot of them in and around the rockpools close to my camping sites, and as I have over 100 logged scuba dives across the world I like to think I have seen a reasonable amount of sea life. So when I stumbled across these curiously different starfish I was intrigued.

I was fortunate enough to snorkel with these magnificent sharks. I had roughly 20 of them around me as they were being chucked some of the fish the fishermen could not sell. Not only where the disinterested in me, the swam around me in such a way that I could touch their oddly smooth and rough skin. Stunning creatures.

Striped shore crab tentatively scuttled from under this ledge at the pier in Sai Kung, Hong Kong. I noticed it from 10 meters away and hurriedly went to sneak a picture without scaring it away. Believe it of not, but I had to actually desaturate the colors in this shot as they were far too vivid and seemed as if I had gone insane with the saturation slider.
